Hello.....

it's been 1 month of school opening here in belgium for me and im still trying to get used to the amount of work they give us. i like to think that its a lot of work and that they are overworking us, but maybe (=probably) thats just me being lazy...
some of the teachers really get on my nerves, sometimes i think about how that maybe its our fault that we arent interested in some subjects but in my opinion its also important as a teacher to make your subject fun and interesting to learn. even if its just your personality entertaining the class, more students are going to be willing to learn
high school is difficult x(
anyways, something other than skool. i've been listening to a lot of different albums this month and i'd like to share a special one here!

Quasi - Featuring Birds

i want to talk about: Quasi - Featuring Birds. This is currently my favorite album, i find it to be very underrated. I find resemblence of Eliott Smith, an artist I also listened to for the first time this month, in Quasi. this is probably because they have been in the same band. the messyness and the home-made feeling of their songs always makes me feel at ease although the lyrics are rather despairing. The chord progressions and the way Sam Coomes, the pianist and guitarist of the band, plays them really matches the overall mood of the songs. ofcourse, i cant forget about how janet weiss plays the drums. you just know when she is about to go crazy, completely enriching the song. the are no skips, this is a mind-boggling album.

my favorites are: i never want to see you again and the poisoned well

Quasi: Sam Coomes and Janet Weiss

I am not the best at explaining my thoughts on music (or anything at all), i hope you understand.
